Sneak a peek - Teen boys bags

Updated: Jun 10, 2021

Sneak a peek inside our Bare Necessities Teenage Boy Survival Bags…

Q: What’s inside?

A; Just like our girls’ bags, it’s all the basics; shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair gel/styling wax, a comb and that magic pot of Vaseline lip balm, (always punches above its weight!), nail clippers, a flannel and, since Covid, hand sanitiser.

Q: Is it hard to fill a bag for boys?

A: Yes and no… we tend to add a few more of the basics, and boys always appreciate any skincare things we have like face wash and moisturiser, even though they might not admit it! Hair styling products are always popular and if we have it, aftershave.

Q: Where do the bags come from?

A: We mostly use our more subdued, coloured, nylon backpacks for these, which are gifted to us by one of our supporters in the sales promo business. Always popular because they can be re-purposed for kit bags or trainers.

Q: Which charities get your teen bags?

A: We work with Cre8 Macclesfield, the Welcome Café in Knutsford and their two youth clubs; the Bideford Community Centre in Wythenshawe, Wilmslow High School and Wilmslow Youth, Tytherington High School and All Hallows in Macclesfield.
