Helping children celebrate their Mums

We were thrilled to be able to distribute 175 Mother’s Day packs this March to five of our youth charities; Wilmslow Youth, Cre8, The Bideford Centre, Manchester Women’ Aid Children’s Services and the Welcome Cafe.

It was such a joy to be able to provide hand picked, treat bags of lovely toiletries for the children to hand to their Mum’s on Mother’s Day making sure that hygiene poverty doesn’t rob them of that opportunity to make Mum feel good, but don’t take our word for it here’s some feedback from some of the kids and their Mum’s….

“The gift bag was absolutely beautiful, it was so nice to feel treated - thank you so much” - Mum

“What a wonderful idea - it was such a nice surprise, thank you!” - Mum

“It was really nice to get something for my mum, I couldn’t get anything by myself and she really liked it” - 14 year old

“My mum really loved it, the bag it all came in was her favourite bit!” - 13 year old

We gave all the gift bags out to young people who would otherwise be unable to get something for their mums for mothers day, they were really excited taking them home and it was so valuable to give them that sense of excitement and independence to allow them to treat their mums. Thank you so much!

From Matt - Wilmslow Youth
